Jian Hong-Yu, a student from Yuan Ze University’s Department of Foreign Languages and Applied, was successfully selected to participate in the 2025 Japan Cultural Exchange Program. He was recommended by the Taiwan-Japan Exchange Association and took part in the program held at the Japan Foundation Kansai International Center from February 11 to March 26, 2025. A total of 27 foreign students from seven countries were chosen for this honor. The 44-day program was fully funded, covering round-trip airfare, accommodation, and transportation expenses.
The 18th Northern EMBA Badminton Friendship Tournament, organized by Yuan Ze University’s EMBA Badminton Club and Alumni Association, took place on March 23 at the Daxi Elementary School Sports Center with great enthusiasm.
As ESG and sustainable development issues continue to gain importance, on March 12, under the arrangement of Chen Ying-Lin, founder of Yunjian Mountain Creative Company, Dean Sun Yi-Ming of Yuan Ze University’s College of Engineering and Professor Chen Huai-Jie, head of the Low-Carbon and Intelligent Transformation Advisory Team from the College of Management, led students from the Postgraduate Program in Net-Zero Carbon and Sustainable Development to visit Meta Design in Tamsui. The visit aimed to gain deeper insights into the company’s innovative practices in design and environmental sustainability.
Yuan Ze University celebrated its 36th anniversary on March 8 with a series of events. As in previous years, the Sports Day was held alongside the anniversary celebration, incorporating a Community Arts Festival, carnival, and welcoming high school students to visit and learn about the university. The alumni lunch with 36 tables was an excellent opportunity to strengthen alumni bonds and unite faculty, staff, and students.
On March 8, in celebration of YZU’s anniversary, the College of Management hosted the Alumni Association General Meeting and Alumni Tea Gathering in the afternoon. The event attracted over 100 alumni, faculty, students, and their families, filling the venue with a warm and lively atmosphere. President Ching-Jong Liao attended the gathering to encourage the alumni and personally presented awards to outstanding graduates. He especially invited alumni to return to their alma mater at least once a year to continue fostering strong connections and contribute to the university’s growth.
